HOW AN ESTATE SALE WORKS
We make an appointment to meet with you at the premises at no obligation.
At this time we decide what is to be included in the estate sale and the best possible date for your sale. We will review our contract with you at this time.
It usually takes about two weeks to prepare and stage a sale. If at all possbile we ask that you plan to secure a date at this time.
We organize and price your items so that they can be displayed nicely.
We provide tables, shelves, extra lighting and a friendly staff to properly assist the customers.
A sale could last anywhere from 2 to 4 days, depending on the size of the sale. Most sales are 2 to 3 days. #’s are given out at 8:30 A.M. on the first day of the sale to control the crowds and prevent theft. The sale begins at 9:00 A.M.
Prior to the first day of the sale, we advertise in the local paper, place an ad on Craigs List, send E-mails to our eager following and use signs that are stratigically placed to bring in the local traffic.
All items are sold as is, where is. There are no returns or refunds at an estate sale.
Items we determine to be not salable we will dispose of at no extra cost.
If there are items left after the sale we will do 1 of 3 things. (1) Pack up our stuff and leave what is leftover for you to take care of. (2) Recommend that you donate and receive a donation receipt. (3) Do a complete sweep out including hauling anything away that did not sell.
We cooperate with your real estate agent to have information available on the days of the sale to help with the sale of the property.
